I'm looking for a Brownie Box. It is a 2,3, or 4 speed auxiliary transmission. Companies that made them where Brown Lipe(Brownie), Spicer, & Watson among others. I would consider any, but prefer a Spicer 5831-C. These things are heavy & would require shipping via truck freight. I would also like to have the shifter for it, but don't care about the linkages. They would have most commonly came in late 50's to late 60's two ton & larger trucks.

Let me know what y'all got & what you want for it. Shipping would be to Memphis, TN.

Thanks, Boz

They look like this:

We got a big truck wrecking yard a mile or so away from my house I will see if I can pop down there and see if they have one for ya.

I have seen em every now and again but not very often

I got 3 different brownies but there the bigger versions, so it wouldn't help you any. what are you putting it behind?

Thanks Blazinzuk!

I don't mind bigger I'm thinking I would like to use as small as I can find. The OD range is what is the most important to me. I really need something in the .85-.80:1 range.

This is going in a friends F-550, so size is a factor, but I'm not stuck on the 5831. I have been helping him work on it for a while. He was running a Gear Vendors OD for the last 2 years. Early this year I built him a beefy 4r100. With a transmission that he wasn't scared to beat on, he grenaded the Gear Vendors. The rig has 5.13 gears & he primarily uses it for interstate hauling (hauling crawlers to off road parks). He is wanting a HD double overdrive set up.

YellowK20 out of curiousity what models do you have?

Ah hell I'm not sure . there in New Mexico , One is O/D 4th the other two are direct 4th.

I swapped out the single O/D for a double O/D in my Peterbilt

No big deal I was just curious. Next question was gonna be for dimensions. Like I said just curious.
