So the headers on my yukon are junk. They are Borla, and with the million mile warranty, they COULD be replaced, if they were still made. But Boral said they would reimburse me with whatever header I buy. I have shorty's, but thinking of long tubes since they make a little more torque than the shorty's. But searching around the web brought up some posts where long tubes won't work with SAS brackets. I have an SAS kit from DIY4x. I'm not 100% on going long tubes, since I don't even know if it will make a difference since this has a Whipple on it. Was understanding that with forced induction, kinda doesn't matter. But, asking anyway!!

As much as I like the long tube headers, I would be wary of them hitting shackles or something. I have no actual experience in your application, but on the squares, there is often interference at the shackle bolts. The other area of concern is the front driveshaft. I found that on one truck, but any lift would have fixed it. And assuming that you get an axle with the same spring perch width as the earlier trucks, I would guess that it could have problems in the same areas.

Yeah, obviously there are frame differences, but my pacesetter headers are close to the shackles. The collector was cut off both and exhaust was welded due to the potential interference.

I’ll prolly just get a set of shorty’s. With the long tubes I’d have to get the exhaust redone, something can’t do right now. Read a post somewhere that used Camaro headers, 3rd gen I think, but even then they hit or was real close. As of now before I even start the SAS, I need to move a cat, it’s smack dab right in the way.....
