What springs off what truck work better than the 52” rear stock springs with a 4” shackle flip
I think I remember a ford spring and some later chevy springs
Any advise please

56" of heavy 3/4 or 1ton square body and flip the brackets side to side for the flip and they are a basic bolt in . i did a set of 22-547 leafs in the rear of a blazer and dropped 2 leafs per pack out to make it a bit lower and softer over the 3/4 ton ride they were and the guy loves it .

Flip the brackets side to side?
And if I remove a couple springs to lower it how low does it end up being
Im at 5” lift now with the flip and shackles now

flip kit bracket flip side to side = bolt in of 56" rear springs over the 52" springs .

most 56" springs are 8 or 9 leaf some 10 leaf so removing some springs the extra lift height down and ride better .

note the front off set in the hanger when installed correctly . flipping them sets them back to let you bolt the 56" springs in with no hole drilling required on the frame .

A few of us run 57” springs from early 90’s F150’s. My rear hangers are moved back 1” further than a 56” position.

The ford springs are model number 43-883 at SDtrucksprings.

Also, the ford springs are pretty soft. Only 1600# rated I think. So you may want to add a leaf if on a blazer or burb

How much if any does it add or take away from the lift
I have a no lift shackle flip and 2” longer shackles FROM ORD
THANKS

Also the bigger question
How far does it move the axle rearward
I would like to keep it under 3”
Ideally for me would be 2 inches then I do not have to get another Tom Woods drive shaft made

I have always wondered if moving the hanger back a inch is needed? Only reason I ask is mine are bolted and welded.

The springs keep the axle in the stock location with an ez inch, I could stuff 37’s without any trimming. I did a flip kit with the spring swap but I would guess I got an inch or two from the F150 springs alone.

They actually move the axle 1" forward.

I thought so, I ran the hanger in the 56” location on my first frame before deciding to move it back an inch on the rebuild.

I'm running the DIY4X Zero flip kit with the Ford 57's. I installed the flip in the stock location, not 1" back, and it seems to work great. Lots of pics in my build thread.
