HOLD THE PHONES!!

Whatchu up to????? :ears:

My bet is the rear. I remember him saying he was close to starting on the back sine the front 52's were about done.

Ahhhh.... Nothing like new parts to brighten up someones day! :D I got the 60 under the front only to find out that I need a new u-bolt kit for it. They will be here tomorrow. But I'm still waiting on my spring plates and shackle flip to be shipped. I order my tires next week but my wheels won't be here for about another 5 or 6. Looks like I'll be rolling again in about 2 months. Oh well, I ordered my electric fans just now so that will give me something to do until the rest of my new parts get here. :waytogo:

yep they are for the rear ;) they are deaver 6" lift superflex coils for a '79 bronco and measure 27" free. the spring rate on them is 300lbs. these suckers are going to be super soft, the 6" lift skyjacker coils are rated at 450lbs. from what ive seen most people use jeep TJ coils and get really good results on full size rigs, so im hoping these will be as good if not better than those. the truss and everything should be here on monday, and all the joints should be here by then as well. the tube is already at my friends house, so i just gatta make some little adjustments on the front drive it over to his house and start the rear. im going to be starting the 4link some time next week at a buddy's house (hes got the welder and everything :) )

make sure to post lots of pics. what did you pay for the springs? is the last pic of a retainer for the spring? what are you doing for upper and lower buckets? I'm sure I'll have more questions.

The rear of my truck is way to light now that the bed is gone. the leafs don't flex much now.

i bought the coils from bronco graveyard for $175. in total for all the tubing, joints, coils, buckets, truss, tabs and everything ive spent close to $1k, so its not a cheap mod :(. The last pic is the stock '79 ford lower coil bucket. we are going to mount that right on to the stock 14b leaf spring perch. we are going to custom make retainers. not 100% sure yet what im going to do for the top. right now the bed of my truck is off (taking the body lift off, and to also add more bracing for the frame and to make welding everything for the 4link easier.) once the rear is done the bed is going back on.

i was inspired by a guy on pirate who used bronco coils as well on his chevy, he tubed out the rear and the truck looks sweet. hes having the same problem you are tho in terms of flex becuase there isnt much weight on the rear.

after this, the secret doubler is going in and the new rims and tires are going on. its debut will be rausch creek in July:D :D
