Now I know that Free is not always good...

I was looking for a camper or camper shell, found this for free locally.
Its a touch too long, but I can make a filler panel..

What do you guys think???

Callen are still in business and what is interesting is that the camper has a steel frame..
I got these pictures from their website.. Shows how strong these shells are..

Now, I was think this will make a GREAT Wilderness Camper!
It needs a bit of TLC... new flyscreens and a new roof vent, but I have some good ideas!

What do you all think?

I am guessing this was on a ford?
Fords are usually slightly longer than chevy wether long bed or short bed.

The plan is to Roller paint it black to match the truck as in this thread..

Fix up the roof vent, repair the side screens, and lights, add a bed rug.
Add a 2nd battery and run a cable to the bed area.
I am thinking to build a removable crossbeam to the upper shell step so I can have a pull out bed there. That way I can store stuff below the bed.
I already have a 12v portable cooler, and a Portapotty.

I have a friend that is going to give me one of those campers. Nice score!
