specs 400/350/203? and 14ff and 44

the guy *thinks* that its locked front and rear. and theve got 4.10s hes pullin the motor and the tranny is shot. its a 79.

aparently the cab has the roof rusted out and its on 33 something rather.

he described it as "a bad ass truck in the mud, i couldnt stick it" so hopefully that means swamper adn lockers.

its 400 and if for nothing more i get the axles for my project truck adn some other random parts i could use for my k5 or sell off. then crush the rest.

im really wantin it now. its got 16.5 x10 wheels which are what i want for the ssr that i got. when i popped the diff the oil was nice and clean looked like it was new oil
the axle shown is one that was in the bed. it looks exactly like what was under the truck except rusty. '

is it open? it looks like a detroit to me. but i saw spider gears in the carrier....

he wants 2000 for the green one and it needs ATLEast new headgasktes maybe heads..

if u see spider gears it is not a detroit.

best way to tell is if the carrier has 4 pins it is open, if it has 3 pins it is a gov-bomb

only the 4 pin crosspin can be replaced by a detroit.

thats a gov-loc and I wouldn't run that. its way to rusty.

alright. that not the axle taht im gonna run. the axle under the truck is what im gonna run adn the axle shown was one that was a 14 in the bed of it, and the carriers appeared to be the same.

that is a gov lock. the twin holes in the left side are for the clutch pack ears. and it looks like the guts are removed from it as well.

mkay. its a govlock then. from what ive read the ones for the 14 are ok right? like its not as unreliable as the ones in the 10bolts right?

and to convert the front 44 to part time i would just need a set of manual hubs...correct? (this would be with a different x-case)

wow, that guy is pretty proud of what he has there,,,,$400 for the rusted out pile, and $2000 for that green thing with little interior and needs headgaskets "possibly heads"????

yeah i know he said 2000 on the green truck...i chuckled. i paid 2000 for my blazer. witha workin everything adn NO rust. the bed on that one has soomuch bondo...
