It looks pretty good to me but why is the driver’s side 1/4 panel a different color? Maybe look for body work there?

It should have the 3 leaf front suspension. Which Chevy supposedly called the “Snow plow package.”

A non running 6.2 could be a simple fuel and or glow plug issue that is a lot easier to fix than an engine swap. Unless you just hate diesels. I’ve gotten 2 non running 6.2 trucks running in the last year that previous owners just gave up on. Now, mechanical failure non running. Swap away.

Yeah he doesn't like them

I think your K-5 looks good to go for a plow-truck and the traction and turning radius for plow work is gonna be awesome!

But, if ya’ lost your mind and decide to go with a “gently used & delicately treated and slightly aged” version like KENNYW’s I’ll donate my old decaying ‘85 K-5 to help with spare body parts to keep it goin.

Gotta warn ya’ though - the last time ole NVRENUF rode in it the body mount metal around most mounts was separated so bad that John said “This must be what it feels like when the Space Shuttle re-enters earths atmosphere” !

Good luck on the CUCV K-5 - looks good to me.

The m1009 looks pretty solid. No rust on the back of the bed. Already has a TH400 with the 32 spline Np208. No need for a NP205 unless you want that. I say do it!

I've had 3 CUCV's. My last one (M1028) turned out decent and it was rust free with super low miles.

In his defense though, the internet has changed things drastically, and especially lately, not for the good. There are so many tire kickers out there that a seller will likely never hear from again. You were just a stranger on the internet and as far as he knew, you were just one of those tire kickers.

I learned 25+ years ago when selling cars on Autotrader.com, if someone is there with you at the car and wants to buy it, you sell it to them. Because any time you hold the car because "someone else was interested in it first" just means you lost a sale. The people that were interested first evidently fell off the face of the earth. With the advent of FB marketplace, it has gotten incredibly worse.

If you want to be first, you have to show up first with cash for marketplace. You waited a week for a low priced, clean vehicle in the rust belt. I bet there were 50 other people who were messaging at the same time as you that didn't come look at it either, so the seller focused on the person who showed up. You can never assume you are first.

i sent him a pic of the cash in hand and he was the slow mo and did not do what he said . i also sent messages to check in and show interest .

but no biggy in the end . i got to many projects now . :zombie7:
