I have been looking for these wheels for a LONG while, and searching this site shows that a LOT of others have as well. I was at Les Schwab yesterday and started looking at the manufacturers catalogs on the counter. In the Cragar catalog, I found 'em. They are the 342 series, Black D-hole 8 on 6.5. They listed a part number for each, and also a 'new' part number, here ya go:

15x8, 8 on 6.5, 4 1/2" BS
p/n 3425880
"new" p/n 1529105565B
sugg retail $48.40

15x10, 8 on 6.5, 4" BS
p/n 3425180
"new" p/n 1529106565B
sugg. retail $63.69

The thing is, they are not listed in the online catalog on the Cragar site. I donno what it up with that as both the catalog at Les Schwab and the online one are s'posed to be 2004. I fired off an email to Cragar yesterday asking about the availability of these wheels, as they are not listed in the online catalog. I'll post up when I get a reply.

FWIW, recieved an email today from cragar, they are available, as Tim has already pointed out.

I have been searching all day for wheels. Summit Racing has the Cragers 342 15x10 8x6.5 with 4 inch backspacing - however, they are backordered until May.
They mentioned that drop shipping may be possible- however I have to call back tomorrow to see if they can do it.

I was wanting a set of these in 15x8-8 lug and I found them at Summit racing for $39 and change, but they have 4 1/2" of backspacing and from what I've read on here they will hit the tie rod end on a D44. Can anyone say for sure if these will or will not hit the tie rod?

it constantly amazes me how hard it is for people to find 15x10 (or 8) 8 lug steel rims. I see them damn near every where I look. I never had any problem finding them at all. I went with Eaton HD steel wheels from national tire and wheel. There are the 4wpw rims too. I guess someone needs to make a "where to find steel rims" 'tech' article or something, cause someone posts this SAME question 98274598427509842707252780293487523187 times a week.

Imagine if they had to find 16x10 wheels... :(

You see 15x8, 8 lug black "D" hole wheels everywhere you look huh, well pin a rose on your nose 'cause like the man posted, Cragar is the only manufacturer that evidently makes them. I've done Google searches and seached here and this is the thread that I came up with. So, I posted in the thread that was already here about it, I DID NOT start a new thread about it. I asked a simple question about backspacing, NOT where to find them. So, GET OFF MY BACK!!! ....and, if you're tired of hearing about this, then don't read the thread!!!

I got a set of "pacer's" from Big-O tires, but they were white and I spent $25 a piece to get them powdercoated flat black. They look absolutely awesome. Can't wait for the 36" Irok's after the Datsun 510's back on the road.

They're cooled, I was just venting, I hate to see people get flamed for asking questions that they actually need answers to. I apologize if I overreacted. This is a board about GM 4X4's and that's what we were talking about. BUT, I STILL NEED TO KNOW IF 4 1/2" IS TOO MUCH BACKSPACING.

I ran 4.25" of backspacing on my old rims 15x8 and the tire was really close to the tierod ends less then 1/8" IIRC. Id think if you had anymore it would hit. The rim had room but the actual tire would have rubbed. I'm running the white spoke ones from summit with 4" of BS. just my .02

what axle? I have 4.25" of backspacing on my 15" rims on the D60 and any more would be pushing it IMO... I had to grind plenty off the caliper to make these fit. Not sure about 1/2 ton stuff...
