Lookin to replace my NP 208 transfer case

My transfer case isnt workin properly, im getting the linkage checked out but its a long shot. the problem is that it wont stay in 4hi it stays put in 4lo, and on the free way it makes this god awful grinding sound like a fire engine is on my ass. I know its my transfer case cause the sound subsided over time in 2wd, then this winter in 4hi on the free way sure enough exact same sound and within days the sound started goin away but still there enough to scare the crap outta me.

My question is, is there any good transfer case swap or replacement threads my skills in this area is limited but form the sound of it its an easy swap. so if anyone knows of any threads with info on this can ya send me a link i searched for one. but im lookin for a pretty detailed one with lots of pics for me to follow along with. thanks guys

A 208 ain't that heavy but if you have acess to one I'd recommend a tranny floor jack. Unbolt the stuff hanging off of it and then unbolt it from the tranny. Not too difficult.
