looking at a 72

ok, hope i don't get slammed! i've looked at all the post about what to look for in a 72. i'm finally planning on looking at one this weekend. my question is how do you check the rocker boxes if you can check them at all? i'm in oklahoma so i don't see a ton of 1st gens so i don't know. any input would be appreciated

I would bring a magnet, screw driver, and some rags. Check the rocker boxes especially where they meet the floor on the inside. Poke around underneath with the scredriver and see if anything gives out. You can run a magnet down the rocker panels to see if they have been heavily bondo'd.
