I found a 1988 C/K 3500 6.2 with 108,000 miles for sale, here are my questions?

Was there any problems with the 6.2?
Also how is the mpg?
Are the parts for the 6.2 hard to find?

Sorry for these questions I'm not familiar with the 6.2 thanks?

The 6.2's are good engines, as long as you aren't expecting Duramax performance. They are not powerhouses in stock form, but it is common for them to run past 250k miles.

Mileage will, of course, be dependent on gearing and driving style. Low- to mid-20's should be attainable assuming there's overdrive.

The most notable problems include main bearing web cracking and crank failure, but in catastrophic form these are usually associated with harmonic damper failure. To be safe, I'd replace the damper on that truck since it's right around 100k.

Parts (and even whole engines) are fairly easy to find, and there is some aftermarket support as well.
