Looking at a truck.

Most likely sunday I'm going to be looking at a truck. Could anybody give me some ideas on what to look at?

get some doors with handles, pull the plugs, shoot some pb in the cylinders, let it sit overnight, and get a big azz chain wrench on the crank pulley and see if you can break it loose.

Yaa, thats the first thing we would do Is take those doors off. This is for my brother though not for me. I think it would be fun to try and get it running

Its probably got a spun bearing .

I personally have helped free up 3 engines that were frozen due to running out of oil. 2 of those are still running, 1 developed a rod knock about a month later.

It sure would make for a fun night if it fired up. If we do pick it up, we are going to try for giggles.

More power to ya , but its easier to start with a better looking truck anyway , this is AZ , we have better looking trucks cheap . Like the 77 Blazer down Broadway East of my house

Yes, I do agree, but he wants a short bed that needs work. He wants to restore it.
