There was a repair done to my fuel line that goes between the braided line coming off the engine and the fuel filter and its leaking now. Is there anywhere i can get just this line ? I checked the auto parts stores and they dont carry it, also brake line has a different flare on the end.

Thanks

Last I knew none of those lines were being reproduced. But it's been awhile. Have you checked LMC truck or inline tube? Have you checked the GM dealers? Very rarely random parts are still available for these trucks.

That is a special flare, often referred to as "Saginaw". You can buy the tool to make your own for around $300. On the plus side it's hydraulic, and will do brake lines, bubble flares, etc.

Is this the type of flare you need ?...If so most parts stores carry this fuel line repair kit..

Amazon.com: Dorman 800-153 Fuel Filter Repair Line: Automotive

One customer at the parts store was broke down, and in desperate need of a "saginaw flare"fuel line, and he couldn't get a new fuel line from the dealer.
I looked thru a bunch of catalogs, and came up with a power steering hose that had the right O ring flare and metric thread fitting size,it had a long metal tube portion with rubber hose crimped on it---he cut off the rubber part at the crimp fitting ,and he used a compression fitting to join it to his original line and was able to get home..wasn't cheap either, but it worked..

you have a braided line to the fuel filter? On my 78 K5 going from the pump to the fuel filter is a solid line.
