Looking For A Good Affordable Bolt On Front Bumper With Winch

Something already assembled, or some assembly required?

Something already assembled, or some assembly required?
Already assembled as far as the bumper is concerned. And a winch that will just bolt in. Electric winch, not too expensive. I did have a PTO winch but the drive shaft got in the way of installing a steering brace. So I removed it and want all new up there now. I've only had to use my winch twice in the last 25 years and both times it was for extracting others. So I really have little use for a winch at all. My shovel and highlift have served me well.

Most that sell require assembly. Off Road Design or DIY4X sell complete bumpers for our trucks that are fully assembled. They will accept a winch.

This one I put on my truck. Only need to paint it and install.

On a budget and rarely ever using a winch, I'd shop Craigslist etc for a bumper or brush guard that accepts a winch. There are a couple of companies (can't remember) that offer winch mounts that go behind the bumper between the frame rails.

For winches I always suggest at least a used Warn over any new chinese product but they are still expensive so a Horror Freight special may serve you well enough.

I have one of those, still waiting to put it on.
This is the year now I'm retired!!! Woo hoo

nice strong, affordable, bolt on bumper with winch system
That's a tough list - probably need to cross one off. Of course it depends on your definition of affordable, but nobody is mass producing like for Jeeps. If Walmart.com had killer bumpers for $150, wouldn't everybody here already have one?

I have the front and rear bumpers from RLC Fab. James is the fabricator that built them. He does great work and will make the bumpers to fit your needs.

The engineered vintage behind bumper kit is on my list for my '74. I already bought the shackle kit and it's great.

It's hard to find a good looking winch bumper that doesn't stick out 10"+. The stock bumper looks best
