Hey. I'm looking to buy one of those motion alarms for my Blazer. The kind that are used in convertibles. I've seen a few on eBay and they seem to be quite affordable. Either that or they're Chinese junk.

I've searched a bit here and there on the net and I'm not getting any satisfaction as far as familiar brand names go. I want to get something good.

Also if you're running one, tell me how it works, I've never installed or used a car alarm in my life...

I know that when I have the top off this summer people are gonna be walking up to it and poking around it, etc.

Start off with a good base alarm system(Viper, Clifford, etc) and add one of these:
Directed Electronics 508D
Field Disturbance Sensor
Brand New

Definitely go with Clifford or Viper. Stay away from cheap Crime Stopper and such.
