Ive recently begun driving my 86 C10 again.
Nice to have the diesel pur under the hood again. Although I would like to get a little more snap out of it. According to the glove box it has 3.73s but Im not sure if thats true or not. I would eventually like to throw 31/10.5s on it but Im sticking with 235s for now.
Im going to throw a new fuel filter on it, I plan on turning my pump up 10-15%. When I give er the wood I never see any black smoke at all. I was told you want to see a little black smoke when its really wound up but not to much. My K10 had a turbo and it had the pump turned way up and would blow smoke to beat hell
Would ditching my mufflers, and getting a K&N help with passing power at all. Im content with my power till about 45-50 then it just seems to fall flat on its face.
Do you guys think a J Code would be worth it?
This truck is going to stay N/A I no longer have the Turbo setup and have no current intentions of adding one to this truck unless I hit the lottery.
