I have not had any luck finding one. I can read a stock chip if somebody has one but of course the most desirable option is to get the file version.

ADSW was the final relaese on some 305, 4-speed, 1987 trucks. The ECM may be marked ABFS as that was the original code that was replaced with the ADSW to resolve false CE lights and idle problems.

Thanks.

does it have to be 1987? You may find a final release 88-89-90 would all be the same ecm. Since it's a four speed not much changes there...

If it's a 1227747 ECM the chip is removable and changeable. Remove 2 screws from small cover and then gently pry up the big chip. The smaller chip is a netres chip for limp home mode. No need to change it.

I have seen a lot of ECMs on eBay misrepresented...

Cool, Thanks. I tried to pull it by hand when i got it, it didnt budge, so I left it alone. The chip is up for grabs for anyone that wants it, as I have a 350. Allthough, I`m going to reloate my Knock Sensor wire today, and if that solves my idle problem(timing jumps all over the place), I may be keeping my TPI for a while.

I have the ASDW are you sure your letters are in the right order? I guess there could be both? :dunno:

Your running a TPI with a 1227747 ECM?

I can't find ADSW, expect in the Moates.net BBC look up excel spreadsheet.

Yeah I found it there as well... looked through all my saved chip files, pile of stock chips and all other sources for him but no luck.

I would be willing to program you a TPI chip without the knock sensor, or most anything else you want programmed into a TPI chip.

Thanks Dave, I`ll keep that in mind. my KS wire was running right passed a spark plug wire, I re routed it on thursday..... i`ll have to hook up a timing light and see if its still jumping around. I would like to try to get this to idle smooth with the KS. The big thing is actually tuning the chip for the truck, as I am running a stock AUJP right now, for a vehicle thats 3000 pounds lighter, and, I`m running swirl port heads. getting ready to rebuild the tranny for the 4th time.
