doing the door pins on a 95 pickup and a 97 burb.
I need the little coil compressor to get the stupid spring back in there.

I've tried all my tools to try to honkey it back in there but its such a tight fit I think the correct tool is really needed here.

so if anyone has the right tool i'd love to be able to borrow it, or donate some cash to BRC or to their paypal to borrow it for two days.

or a link where I can just buy a cheapo version since i'll probably never use it again.

anyway, any help or advice is appreciated.

I've used my small engine valve spring compressor to install those springs, lacking the proper tool made just for that purpose..

Before I found a small engine valve spring compressor cheap at a flea market for a like new one,I made one from a heavy strap hinge by cutting a slot in each end and drilling a hole in the center for a bolt and wingnut ,to close it up...had to bend the strap part to fit the springs...it worked just as good as the correct tool,really...

china freight will work i had to get mine from gm many years a go but it has paid for it self many times over. nothing works better than the right tool for the right job !!!

Yup. Sometimes the most simple tools do a job that nothing else could ever hope to

Ironically when I went to use my new tool I noticed that bushing off the pin where the spring arm actually rides is Mia. So this was a mootpoint

Funny I just read this. I think Stacey David (?) On gears just showed you how to use one but I think he also shows you how to make one.
