I am not; I am trying to figure out the size of the side rails bolts. I know the cap/cab are 5/16x2 1/2 18-8 thread stainless. I have them in a hex bolt style which I prefer over the security type that I took out.Are you doing a numbers correct restoration?
I could not find the tapered point hex head ones anywhere.Did they ever change?
Not near my truck, but I want to say all I've ever seen are chromed hex head flanged bolts.
Not sure what the design is called, but tapered point to help line up the captured nuts in the bed rail/back of the cap as you start them.
The security head bolt was only used on the underside of the bedrail (1 per side). Standard practice is to find some means to remove them and then never replace them.I am not; I am trying to figure out the size of the side rails bolts. The later Blazers had shoulder belts for the rear seat that were bolted to the top. I don't know if GM secretly didn't want anybody to remove their removable hardtop or if there was actually some risk of hard top theft.
I believe either 90 or 91 was the seatbelt addedThe later Blazers had shoulder belts for the rear seat that were bolted to the top. The security bolts came about as part of that change, not sure of the year breakdown.
