Looking for good used 6.2 or 6.5 heads

I am in need of a good used pair of 6.2 or 6.5 heads in or near North east PA. I was doing what I thought would just be a head gasket job on my '82 6.2 and it turns out both cyl. heads are cracked. I really don't want to shell out the cash for a new pair. Does anybody have any good used ones??? or maybe a whole motor that they want to get rid of?

Good luck....I went through three sets of heads until I found a good pair. My original '82 heads were cracked beyond repair, and the '83 model engine I had also had cracked heads. I ended up buying a busted '86 6.2L from my uncle for $50, and it had good heads.

Where are the cracks located? Some cracks are fixable, depending on how bad they are.

Stay away from "new" castings made by Alabama cylinder heads. They're no good.

Check with the Diesel Depot for good used heads.
