ok, i have an 84 with 10 bolts front and back with a 305 under the hood. just put on a set of GF Goodrich Mud Terrain 32x11.5x15, did not want to lift it or cut fenders:D. I have no idea what is in there currently maybe 3.08? I was looking at maybe going to 3.73 or 4.10, the truck is mostly driven around town 80% of the time, 20% on H-way (over 60 MPH) not real concerned abt. gas mileage as it is only driven maybe 150 to 200 miles a month. :eek1:

the new skins have made a noticable difference in the "get up and go" department. Any ideas/suggestions, any brand better or worst, do i have to do the front as well to match the ratio? Please let me know what you may have experienced, thank you

3.73 I would run, If you NEVER put it in 4wd the front doesn"t have to match, But if you put it in 4wd 1 time with unmatched gears, it will go BOOM.

Are you going to do this yourself or have a shop do it? Are you aware of what it takes to change gear ratios in a diff? Its far from a simple remove and replace affair.

I do, mostly in the snow to get back & forth to work, i will replace both, I dont like the BOOM!!!

I will most likely have a shop do it for me, that way in case there are any issue i can bring it back to them. I see a lot of Richmond gears out there any good?
