Just curious to see what the opinions are on which wheels look better on my truck. I originally had the Mickey Thompson Classic II's on the truck when I bought it back in 2006. The wheels were relatively new, however I did not clean and polish every week and they deteriorated in appearance. A while back, I picked up the all black wheels thinking they would contrast well with the two-tone white and black. I somewhat have mixed feelings, as I like the look of both. Obviously, the black are easier maintain. I am considering having my MT's cleaned-up and put back on for the summer. - The truck isn't used off road.

Feedback welcomed.

I like them both. I'd run the black ones in the winter and the classic II's in the summer. You have good taste. My only other suggestion would be the factory rallies with beauty rings. All good choices IMO

They both look good but I am leaning towards the Mickey Thompsons a bit more. There is this stuff out there called Zoop Seal you can put on after you polish and its supposed to keep them from oxidizing for like a year or two afterwards. Worked great on the rally rims I had on an old corvette.

I like the silver one better. They have a nice contrast and look to 'em.

i hate black wheels.

i got new black d windows and repainted white . look much better.

got conversion nuts and 88-up drw deep caps . cut 2 caps centers out and bolt up. looks just like last pic of orignal style factory done. but now my 8 lug version. :woot:

if you did that to yours i bet that thing would look smokin. :sign11:

i agree with that too. Would look great on your truck with that white two-tone. My dad's white 1-ton crewcab dually came with white steel dually rims from the factory and it looked really good. I've gotta find some pictures of when it was new and scan them.

If you can get the rims professionally polished up, get them powder coated clear to protect them.

Opinions are like _ _ _holes. So here is mine.

I like the black ones for winter & the polished ones for summer. Run the black ones till the paint/powder coating starts coming off, then paint them the color of your choice.

Go to walmart and get a pair of beauty rings. Throw em on one side to test it. then get the other two if you like. but i think that the chrome ring would split up the black just enough to look awsome. youhave just enough other chrome on it to work and it would work nice with the white. Nice A$$ truck by the way:waytogo:

I like this idea.

Definitely the MT classic IIs.
I have run black and polished wheels before, I personally like the polished ones better.

Have you ever thought of powder coating the inside(center) of the MTs and leaving a portion of the lip polished?
