The guy I got my MREs from today said he has a 1972 Chevy Blazer Factory Hardtop Half Cab. Ive never seen one. He said their are only a couple left. He said the Military and some Fire Dept. had some. He knows of only 2. One is in a musuem and the other was lovered and is a show truck. He is going to send me pics, But I thought I would ask here. Anybody even heard of these. I think it is a blazer with a hardtop that stops behind the front seats. He said it is like a truck though. Solid body.

Thanks!

I found a pic. I might get his if the price is right. It does not run and its missing the axles. Dana 60 time again!

Here is a pic I found.

Def more than 2 left. They'll popup on craigslist or forum classifieds sometime. Think 4xnut on here has one.

I have the original sales brochure somewhere for the half cabs Glasstite truck cap company used to sell fot K5's....unfortunately I cant post a copy of it here, dont know how and not sure my POS computer has that capeability..

1972 Factory Half Cab???

I know this is a very old thread. I am trying to figure out if my half top came that way from the factory or if it was added aftermarket. I just bought a 1972 GMC Jimmy... The half top is either a very nice aftermarket one or came that way from the factory. It is fiberglass and has a divider beneath that seals the cab.

Thanks, I was pretty happy to get it. It's factory AC with an uncut dash... but it doesn't have the original radio, original seats, or factory motor... Has a 402 big block with tilt steering. I just drove her back 400 miles.

Welcome to the site. Saw your post in introductions about buying this Truck. With the 1/2 cab, you only have to dump 1/2 as much money into it as the rest of us have.

Very cool. Never seen one that was factory, did you ever figure it out? What did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking.
