I dont want to run a large degree shim on the front axle.. so im wanting to make some front spring hangers that drop the eye of the leaf down about 2.5 inches lower then where they sit now

im runnning the 52"s inthe front. with the stock hangers moved forward like most everyone else..

i have a few ideas in my head on how to do it.. but i would just like to see some other pics so i can maybe improve on my ideas... thx,

Heres mine. Dropped down about 2 inches. I still am running 6 degree shims. Heres a pic with measurements. http://www.pnkages.com/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=D60&id=spring_mount

perfect man.. thank you... if i only had a plasma to cut those side pieces..

ill think of something... thx again

hey man.. do you mind if i copy that? id rather keep it simple like that and get it done quick.. im sick of dickin with the thing...

regular torch can be used to achieve similar results. Just leave extra room for grinding. I need to clean up my front setup on the S10 and plan to use a torch. Can't afford plasma right now(sooner than later I hope).

yea im just gonna have to use a grinder and a cutoff wheel cuz i dont have a torch either... oh well though... itll just take a little more time..

those were done with a torch and then cleaned up with a grinder. Feel free to copy my design. I have one trip on mine and they are doing good so far. I would like to add a brace between the two but thats in due time. If you click on the link you can then click on the pic and get a bigger view of the diamentions.

I think I still have my template that I used to mark the metal for the side pieces. If you want I might beable to cut them out and mail then to you. Then you can just clean them up and be on your way.

looking through your pctures on the link, what is the coil spring looking thing next to the winch for?
