Looking for Rear Bumper Idea's

I am looking for Ideas for boulding a rear bumper for my 89 K5. I am going to try and perform the welding and cutting myself with my brother in-law and am having trouble finding good pics or diagrams to use to design my own custom bumper. Can anyone help?

Rear tire and jerry can bumper

I have found a guy who makes them for jeeps and he is willing to make them for Full size Blazers. I will ask him if I can post his info here and if he says ok I will put it up. This is to wet your hunger!!! :bow:

This just doesn't sound right. It can't be a custom bumper if you're looking for pics or diagrams to use. :D

Just messing with you man, do a search and many different bumper pics will show up. I started a rear bumper for my 89 a couple years ago then put it aside when i moved but i'm getting closer to starting back on it again. Once i get it done i'll post up my pics. :thumb:
 
All that is fine if you can weld or have the place to do it. This guy has been making these for some time and I am letting him make mine for under $400.00 and he is putting it on my truck.

Once he does he will be listing them on sites to sell. I have looked at all the info and different facts till my head hurt. Use this axel spindel use that one do this do that. Heck I just want to get the frelling tire out side and be able to carry a can of water and gas for those outtings.

Any way just wanted to put this out there. Not one of those post of I have a friend who knows a guy who knows how to make one stories. He lives in Ohio FYI.

I don't really have a place to do that sort of stuff anymore, plus I weld and fabricate for a living...just doing my own stuff after working 40-50 hours a week fabbing gets on my nerves a bit. Feel free to copy the design or whatever though.
