Looking for some Moab info

you can dry camp for free at the entrance to Kane creek trail. There's a large flat space there on the main road that works good. Even has a pit toilet available.

I lived there for a few years. Highly recommend heading up hwy 128 and trying to find a camp spot up Onion Creek or anywhere in Professor Valley for that matter. If the weather is warm, head up into the La Sals! The area up around Slickrock trail is always packed. Pretty easy to find solitude regardless of what time of year it is, just remember to leave no trace :)

I have zero knowledge of any of the areas as this will be the first time to Moab for all of us going. Any potential info is appreciated.
We would prefer to camp somewhat by ourselves or at least not stacked next to multiple RVs like most RV parks.
Thanks Sean.

So, tent camping in August?

I'll have the family with me to check off the local national parks. We will probably rent a rzr for a day, as well . I've spent 6 days riding bikes around Moab, but that was before I discovered British Columbia. That was probably 7 years ago. I'll have our bikes, and I am mainly interested in a daily whole enchilada loop, if you know the bike trails. Due to needing that shuttle and the trying to escape the heat, I'm looking toward the La Sal's . Would the Warner lake campground be a reasonable choice? I realize its a haul up there, and assume there will be some chance for afternoon storms .We will be tent camping out of a 4wd rental truck. Any ideas for other spots? I'll probably get a room for a night in the middle of the stay. Unfortunately, the wife has zero interest in a cross country trip in the burb at this point.

Warner lake is nice. Only been through there once. Any of the places in the LaSal Mtns are nice in the summer. Way better than down low. And yes August is monsoon time but they roll through hard and fast and then its dry again.
