Hey everyone, looking for some wiring info for my 1974 Suburban. The previous owner swapped in a cluster from a 1989 Suburban (left the 1974 speedo in place though), and also swapped the doors on and did some wiring for the power windows. I bought the truck with the trans pulled, I did plugs and wires and an oil change and cranked her up, but she didn’t fire. I got no power to the gauges or any dash lights. I got a great deal on the truck and it’s rusty banged up pile that I plan to bang up more, just wanting to figure out the now power to the gauges thing. Long term I’d like to swap a crew cab body on the frame and eliminate the issue all together lol but I’m wanting to do a DIY4X dash as well so figuring out the correct wiring for the gauges and dash lights would be a big help when I pull the dash apart soon. Pictures of wire color would be phenomenal! I’m gonna hook up my transfer pump and a gas can and see if she runs bypassing the mechanical pump and i’m also gonna double check the timing and plug wires. In case it matters to anyone, it’s got an HEI distributor in there now.
