Looking for splash shields

I don't think I used anything with the new seal. Just screwed it in place. I think that old metal piece was just reinforcement because the old seal was that tar paper stuff

That's odd. Screw holes in these new rubber seals don't match the holes where the old metal support was screwed. If I do poke holes in the new seals and use the old screws it will be screwed flat to the cab and not do any good. I figured the metal part was to stick the seal out at a right angle to the cab and block the flow of crud from the engine bay. Maybe I'm remembering this wrong.

Got this on the other cheby board. Its for a 66 truck, but If I remember right are rigs have the same type setup.

Cool, you gave me an idea. Have some old mud flaps laying around that are made out of thicker rubber. Think I'll try making a couple of my own. Seems like that would work better than these little flimsy ones.
