Nicole and I have started talking about what to do for next year's 10th annual event. We want to make it a little special after achieving a milestone. We would like for people to send us stories and pictures they would like to share from past Blazer Bashes.

I know many of you have pictures uploaded to various photo hosting sites but in the interest of time and effort - always in short supply for me it seems - I would greatly appreciate it if you could put files on CD's or flashdrives and mail them to us. Use this mailing address:

We would like to set up a slide show at the BBQ using the pictures you send. I don't know for certain what Nicole has in mind for the stories, but I'm sure it'll be good.

Speaking of the slide show, if anyone planning to come to Blazer Bash 2011 has a computer driven projector, we'd like to see if we could work something out for you to bring it to the BBQ. I can come up with a white backdrop screen and laptop.

It's a lot of fun to look through the old picture threads and see some of the pictures. The one that gets me is seeing the ORD K5, Wally, actually looking like a full-body blazer. :D

Brent (reddog) has a projector I think. He's used it to show movies when we've camped.

When will they be back? I can't remember his username.

Yep, I have a projector and usually drag around a laptop so I can play video's from a DVD or USB key etc.

Does it pretty much have to be dark in order to really be able to see the images? Or will it work under the shadow of the roof structure over the picnic tables?

It depends on how big of an image you want and how good the screen is. It's a fairly bright projector, but I usually just use a white sheet to project the video on so it's not so good when it's light out. If we had a real screen it would work pretty good under the awning.

I was going to bring some white banner material to use for the backdrop. I'll bet throwing a matte overlay on it would help as well.

Aside from a video, during the entire BBQ you could play an on going slide show of pics from past BBes
