My 2wd has some drive-line vibration and the only play is the tail shaft and the yoke. Anyone know where I can source these parts? Napa says no transmission shops say one months retirement pay...

Maybe try Bowtie Overdrive. I haven't had a 700 with a yoke on the output, but I just ditched a bad 700 with a slip yoke output.

The bushing in the extension housing is probably worn out and letting the yoke move around a lot. It's a simple matter of removing the extension housing and replacing the bushing and seal. The yoke shouldn't need to be replaced unless it's obviously scored or pitted.

bushing: Pioneer part# 755002 around $5.00

I'd of bought that slip yoke and tailhousing of you to rebuild. That way this car is not down a few days for parts. Was it a 90 era...

EDIT: Or can anyone tell me if the tailshaft section of the 1990 700r4 (4l60e) 2wd is the same as cars etc... or am I looking for a specail hard to find part?

It's our daily driver and I'd rather get one, rebush (probably buy a new slip yoke) so it's a one day quick part change.

FWIW the TH350 slip yoke is the same (same splines anyway) but you will need to verify the u-joint size.
