Hi k-5 team...

I am looking for a plow this year.. and want some k-5'er opinions..

87-k5.

getting ready to install a good used set of elderbrock k-5 headers.. picked up at a super Chevy swap meet..

i am running brand new Good yr MTR's 304 something on 16 in rims..

who knows this plow stuff and how the blazer works in a plow enviro.. I know most of us have had Tranny swaps.. and if I were to guess this would be my only thing to worry about.. I have to send my TCI trans out to be repaired.. should i send it to TCI or Trans specialties? trans spc.. is local to me in SE PA.

how will the k-5 handle on the snow with little weight in the back and a heavy plow on the front.. ?? will it slide out ?

Thanks guys for any in put.. out put..

I would love to see some install pics of a plow to the k-5

look here for great plow info. http://www.letsplow.com/ free to be a member.

and if a tci tranny i would send back to them. i never have had or seen any good luck with local tranny shops. sorry thats my opinion.

and k5 will be nice for plowing. short / nimble / add few hundred lbs of weight in the back for best perfomance.

what plow ? you going to run ?

i run a k30 1ton 4x4 with old fisher speed caster live hydrolic system. no electric. and 8ft or 9ft plow blade depending on how much snow i want to move.
