looking for14bff/need some specs.

im on the search on saturday for 14bff axle.is the ratio stamped on the ring gear?i need 4.11 gears so if it is a specific number that i can look at if it isnt stamped as 4.11 then does any1 have the #'s.also the full floater has the 5 bolts inbetween the drum right?so that the axle can be unbolted and slid out easily.thanx ahead of time.

The edge of the ring gear will be stamped with a bunch of numbers. A build date and a ratio. The ratio is expressed by a ring gear count versus a pinion gear count. 4.10's would have 41.10 stamped on them. 41.11 is 3.73 and 41.9 is 4.56

The axle shafts are bolted to the outer hub assembly by 8 bolts...

I don't know off hand what the numbers are for 4.10's....But I do know the numbers for 3.73's are 41-11. Thats 41 teeth on the ring gear and 11 teeth on the pinion. These numbers are stamped on the edge of the ring gear and on the end of the pinion in some cases. Divide the 2 numbers and you get the ratio. 41 divided by 11= 3.73's. Another way to find out is if you are getting your 14b out of a donor 4x4...Check to see if the tag is still on the front diff cover. Those have both the ratio and the tooth count stamped into them.
