cruise control

Reese hitch

electric brake controller box

wide fender flares

what do you guys think?

Sounds great on paper, I would buy it if everything is there and working. I don't know how many of these you have in your area, but if the truck pushes all the right buttons for you and is sound, then you answered your own question. I know the hunt is equally as much fun as owning!

Only thing is an electric brake controller means it likely towed a heavy trailer......... so keep that in mind.

if evertything is the way you want it already, then buy it.sounds like if it is as nice as it is,its worth it.a vehicle is only worth as much as you think it is.i have 4000 dollars into my truck and i will never be able to sell it for that much in the shape its in.check the frame where the trl mounts are.if it has a brake controller as said it was haulin a big trl with a lot of weight more than likely.if you have cjecked all the normal spots for rust and have yet to find any,it is a great find.

Try and verify the 75k. Mine was listed as 84k but it's definitely 184k.

If it's as nice as is claimed then go for it. I paid $1800 for mine but I had to drive it across the country to get it back and I'm fixing all the little neglected stuff.

Also, being in Ohio, "no rust" means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Same as up here. "Oh, it's just the rockers..." Morons.

Also bear in mind that 3.73's are way high for 35's. You'd want at least 4.10's and properly 4.56's to spin those correctly.

its in south carolina i'd have to go pick it up. the guy said he just uses it to drive to his cabin on a lake for the most part. never hauls much more than a bass boat. i plan on towing my 2 horse aluminum trailer with it.

Got someone knowledgeable to inspect it before you go?

The only reason I bought mine in Seattle was I had a friend on here who was willing to go and look at it for me. A lot of stuff is subjective to the seller. Even if the guy is being square with you his version of how the truck is might differ from reality.
Had a guy tell me yesterday the front winch bumper I'm trying to sell is in bad shape. It's got surface rust and faded paint but is otherwise 100% there. He's just cheap and trying to dicker me down on the deal. I told him to call me when he was willing to talk. Like he's going to find something better here anyways...

Might ask around on here. Maybe someone is local for you. Members everywhere on here.

Sorry to threadjack,
Really? I saw it and though about getting it for my 87 but the shipping to SoCal would kill me most likely. Its used. If he wants one in mint condition, as in "never been used" it may be a long time if ever. Hell it would only cost me $75 to have it sandblasted and powder coated and it would be like new................... :D

Yep. I have two other people interested in it and both have good bumpers and parts to swap me so I think I'm doing just fine without cheapass's wonderful offering of a "decent shape" '91 Suburban bumper.

I will trade you the bent, rattle canned black, narrowed by sawzall stocker and a Double Double from In&Out for it (burger may get nasty in shipping though)! (that is actually the front bumper I have LOL)

Anyway, back to the OP topic, does he have any pics of this thing he is trying to sell you that you could post up? I bet you could find a CK5'r to look at it for you out there and give you the factual rundown. See if he has receipts for any work. Sounds like a nice truck though.

i saw pics of it on craigslist when he had it posted there.
can't post in regionals without premium membership
anyone that lives near Lyman, SC check this truck out for me and i would be eternally grateful

Trust me, best $25 you could spend on this, or any, 73-87(91) GM fullsize truck.

Oh yeah, CK5 will pay for itself with the info in the threads and help you get. Thats how you have to look at it, and bandwidth isn't free!

ya im a premium over on therangerstation.com it was 10$ it very worth it. i gotta save every penny now that i gotta get a new truck.
