looking to buy another k5.

I think so those ful verts go for a good buck if it runs and drives good id pick it up. The body looks eally clean and the interior looks nice too I think its actually a sweet deal

seems a little high to me, but it is a gen 1 so depending on how well its build and what the underside looks like i say not too bad, i dont know if i would pay that much for it but i guess it depends on what you want it for.

It's actually 2nd gen but a full convertible cant be beat. 5000 is pretty high for that if it was just the truck. But it's nice he didn't throw on a cheapy paint job and cover up anything. I'd offer him 4000 and see if he come down. Otherwise sounds like its in good shape and if it runs good and has a pile of parts to go with it even better. It's getting harder to find the early blazers anymore. So that does up the value a lil bit.

I don't know if you are looking specifically for a full vert rig or not, but my brother has had his 1980 K5 for sale in Colton . I posted this for him back in October and he has not done much to sell it since then. It mainly sits out front at their shop and gets started once or twice a month. He started with a dry CA rig and has but quite a bit of work into it.

I haven't talked to him about it for a while, but I would imagine he is negotiable on price :dunno:...he's got a new baby and a payment on a new Silverado.

Here is what I posted for him on here http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=301857

Good luck with what ever you get.

Other than the seats, it looks like about any other blazer from that year with possibly a little less rust. Maybe he gets a little credit for the seats and bumpers but it still only has lap belts. Seems like it's at least $2000 high.

If I'm seeing the pics right, the axles haven't been swapped, it has original wheels (could be new or painted), the door panels and arm pads need to be replaced, no carpet or lining, average home built stereo, no side panels, no engine pic? This makes me wary, why not show it off if it is a crate motor. Maybe it's 10 years old. Is the A/C compressor missing?

Also note the tailgate motor might not work or need a cable, trim parts. Yeah the fenders were replaced but it probably needs a new hood as it looks like the passenger side is kinked/arched. That rear quarter panel will take some work along with filling the holes.

I'm not sure what's up with the "megashifter" other than it looks like it's not mounted to the floor. Is that a doubler in there (yellow twin sticks)? If it has a doubler then it's only $1500 high. I'm betting it rides like a rock and needs new shocks too.

If it were painted the door interiors were replaced, I might pay him $5000 but definitely not in that condition although I'm not familiar with the CA market on these things.

If this came off harsh, sorry, I'm tired and grumpy but if I were your I'd buy it as a project and plan to put at least $2-3,000 in to it if you want a nice ride or get something newer for that kind of money.

I think it would depend your intended use of this vehicle, but I think its a good deal. First off full verts are getting harder to find in clean shape,2nd and most important IMO is its smog exempt. The ad also said he's got 2000 in parts but I would want a list of everything. You can sell off any parts you don't want or need and make some cash back. I would verify if its got a doubler. Twin stick doesn't mean double t-cases
