looking to repaint...what color?

truck is currently 2-tone black and red with red interior and im getting tired of the red (its fading and looks like crap), and the truck is starting to show some surface rust (doors and tailgate especially, pic doesnt show it) so im thinking about brightening it up a little. i saw on pbb that most people think hammerite is the best in terms of rattlecan. im thinkin i want to do something 2-tone again, but instead of just the bottom like it is currently, go up to the body like and then start the other color. im thinking im going to go black on top and then the brighter color on the bottom or should the accent color be on top?

anyways here's a pic of the truck: can anyone photoshop different colors for me?

haha if this was just a trail rig id prolly do that, but right now i want a little more life in it. plus everyone has flat black

the pic makes it look good, its faded, and in parts where ive rubbed up against trees you can see that the truck was originally all red (po repainted and added a bunch of pin-stripping)

if it stays 2-tone i would take the accent color up to the body line i think.

another option i forgot to mention was BLACK/SILVER. i really like that combo as well. can anyone photoshop my pic with the different colors?

my original plan with my truck was a dark silver for the body and everything else like wheels, top, bumpers, etc were going to be black... but i think i'm going to do camo know

if i were to do your's i'd just repaint it the same color

A buddy of mine has a '76 K5 that he painted metallic orange (not a bright orange- leans just a little towards maybe a copper/bronze) with a tan top and tan interior. It is a very sweet looking truck. If I ever resto. another K5 I plan to do something similar.

do just the opposite of this. black on top and bottom. red in the middle. the way it looks now is nice also.
