Loose U Joints, worn yokes?

So the U Joints caps on my rear driveshaft are loose in the yoke, this is with new U joints. They are so loose enough that I can just slide the caps into the yoke, no need to press them in. Yes, they are the correct part number and yes I have vibration. Stock 10 bolt with stock driveshaft on a 91. Is my driveshaft wasted?

Yep time for a new shaft.

Just weld 'em in place.

yeah you could get away with just replacing the yoke if you had to. probably be 20 bucks or so for a new yoke, another 40 to have it welded on. no biggie unless the rest of the shaft is as toast as that yoke.
