Loss of engine braking- TRANNY OR ENGINE ISSUE?

Did you do a search on this board for the TPS values at various throttle positions? There is only one "setting" for it, so you can test it, and if its off, you can adjust it to the correct position. Voltmeter is all you need a I recall.

Nope, I didn't really bother searching because I wasn't sure what I was looking for. Is a diesel TPS the same as a gas TPS?

TPS values are apparently the same even between Ford and GM, I'm 99% sure GM TPS is the same across the board. (when speaking about values based on throttle position, there are some physically different styles of TPS used though)
