that generally means it was meant as a joke, people do that sometimes. no need to get bent out of shape about it.

Ya I was just taking it as a nOOb, but this helped:p: , spell check NOW noted.:D

When I looked into going the other direction a while back my local trans guru said I'd want the diesel govenor assembly.

Thanx..... I can afford to get membership but I will be leaving for my fourth tour to Iraq very shortly so figured I would wait to join till i got back.

Torque converters do not set the shift points rather they set the RPM that the tranny input will start to move relative to engine speed. The governor and valve body on the transmission is what controls the shifts. Either way going from Diesel to gas both would have to be changed. As for the 6 to 3 fasteners. If you did reuse it you would only use 3 of the holes as they will still line up.

Thanx for info

Ok I ended up using the diesel tourque converter and it sucks. I am now going to rip it all back apart and change it. It shifts way early and wont give me no power I can barely make it down the road. Now however I may not get no speed or power but I sure can climb with it.... I am good as long as i go slow but it aint what I want i need both.......So I am going to change it and several other parts......

I I know there has to be a way to put several pics on at a time but i am so stupid when it comes to computers i dont know what I am doing.

But anyways thats the blazer in the rough. I am installing a 6 inch lift and 38's on it right now. I want to finish it all up before I leave for Iraq next month. But we will see.... Still need to figure out what color to paint it. Wanted to go with the stock rims but I think they are just to narrow for the 38's. Guess we will see once it is all done.
