Its REALLY loud. and only when i push the clutch pedal down. It just randomly started, going down the road, I wasnt even abusing it. My dad said the throw out bearing is probably gone, but I'm hoping its something easier?

Mine has started doing hte same thing now and then. I am really looking forward to dropping the tranny:rolleyes:
Has anyone ever used a tranny jack on a 465? How would it attach?

Engine hoist through the tranny tunnel...by far the easiest way I've ever dropped or installed a 465, and I've swapped 465's about 5 or 6 times now.

I had to do mine while I was on leave a few weeks ago. I just disconnected the shafts, the shifters, then disconnected the trans from the bell-housing and put an ATV/motorcycle jack under it, used small 1" ratchet straps to hold it in place, pulled the whole assembly back about 16". That way I was able to just reach through bell housing hole and pull out the T/O bearing and replace it. Unfortunately mine was so bad (completely frozen with no bearings left) I ended up having to pull the bell housing to inspect the pressure plate for damage, but if yours isn't that bad you should be good to skip that step. I have used this jack on several heavy trans removal ceremonies and like it better than my transmission jack in most cases.
