When i bought the 91 K5 i planned on doing a 4" lift from the start, since it has been over 10 years since i had my last one i wanted to do some research and see what would be the best setup figuring technology has changed quite a bit. thinking that shocks would be the biggest improvement.
In the past i have always installed my own suspensions but after some checking around i decided on going with coilovers from ORD.
I probably could have installed it but decided to take it to a shop instead, plus i don't have a lot of free time for a project like that.
OMG i am so happy i didn't try this myself. i would have gone crazy.
just looking at the fab work and figuring out what goes where and how things are different from the installation instructions and pictures , and they just take it in stride, they have made couple of calls to ORD got things figured out. this thing is going to be so cool when its done.

i have a lot of respect for you guys that do this stuff in your driveway

I know how you feel. If I were to do it again I’d buy the ord kit! So much cycling and different designs. I took back 200 lbs of scrap while building.

@jekquistk5 that’s a bold revelation, most people do not realize It’s hard... really hard.. on the surface it does not appear that bad until you really dig in. The welding and cutting is the easy part... making sure all that stuff doesn’t hit, is where it’s gotta be and strong enough to stay there with all the dynamics at play...
there is also so many ways to a similar or same path.. a arm, beams, solid axle, etc you can almost land in a similar spot with all them.. shortfalls aside of course.

@LIVEAnimals stoked you got setup! Hit us up if your down south, we have lots of desert to play in!
