this site is probably the most helpful site on the internet. just finished a repaint and a 4 inch lift. 35 inch wrangler m/ts on black steel wheels should be in tommorow or thursday.
truck before anything.

There you go

i dont know if the pics are not in order.. but u painted it that glossy black right.. awesome job.

hey thank you very much for helping me out? how did you guys do that. see just another example of how you guys are genuinely nice people here. it is actually supposed to be a flat black now, i just dont have any pictures of it. it did not turn out as flat as i hoped, i wanted it to be a sort of grey, like the rat rods/hot rods run now.

Using PhotoBucket, just copy in the "Img" code. Copy and paste, that's it.

just wondering but why didnt you paint the top of the cab too?? :confused:

it is painted now, that picture is from before i did any body work at all. the lift was put on first, as is most important :D then body work and paint.

the grey/black that some of the rods run, isnt that just primer?
If not, does it clean up easy? Where can you get it? What is it called?
Eddie

If you are talking about flat hot rod black. No it is not just primer. Black paint with a "flat" clear. If you just use primer good luck on getting the bugs off and it will stain if you ever get oil based products on it. {hijack off}

K5 is looking great Janitor

the light bar actually came off a 87 jimmy i bought for parts, light bar was probably the most valuable thing off it except for a pile of rust lol. i beleive you can get the light bars at 4 wheel parts.com, although i have only seen it in there magazines not on the site. The flat did not turn out as flat as i planned.
i can wash it like normal, just no wax because there is no clear coat really.

thats here today with new tires and wheels...

I think when I paint mine again, maybe this winter, I want to have it more flat. The glossy black shows evey scratch. I thought the Black was a good idea a few years ago when i painted it.

Sweet truck bro, looks good
Must be nice having a warehouse like that to work on your rig.
Being a OTR trucker and seeing those forklifts and the pallets stacked up almost put me in cardiac arrest for a moment but I'm ok now :bow:
