And just all around, for that matter.

We had our first measurable snow here on the Front Range, and the Blazer was ruling it. I've had a XJ Cherokee (both Mud and All-Terrains) and a Passat with dedicated snows, for comparison. And I've driven in a LOT of gnarly snow conditions over the years.

Also of interest, this is the first time I've run a studded tire. I got the vehicle home a couple weeks ago, and needed some temp. rubber until I can lift it and put on 33's. Scored some serviceable studded Goodride Tellurides off Craigslist. Can't really even find pics of them on the web. Kind of a AT/MT hybrid pattern...

Anyhoo, I can't say I would have ever bought new tires with studs, and these are really making me rethink things. Conversely, they definitely sing on the highway.

P. Blayze even passed emissions first try yesterday. Gotta love that.

Y'all stay safe over the holiday.

Ha. You guys are as bad as gixxer.com :D

I don't think we got the 10" they were calling for, but it was above freezing when things got going, so nice and slippery.

And yes, vehicle's been hit in the front, so have some bumper work to do.

The K5 is definately a great rig.

Last winter I scored a lovely 89 K5. I had not owned one in a few years and was eager to get one again.

Traded a 1994 Diesel Burb for this one. :D

I am not in love with the Flame paint job, but it sort of grows on ya. :haha:
Being a West coast rig, it has zero rust and is overall in great shape.

Good luck with your K5 and enjoy

Nothing like seeing a cool rig in the snow!

Now, I may not live in snow country at the moment, but I used to (Windsor, CT). My wife asked the other day if I ever got tired of the snow... can't say that I did!

More pictures? :)

I live in N. VA and there is no snow like that around here! He must be up in the mountains somewhere. Granted, it is white here, but it's not snow ... it's just a bazillion tons of salt all over the roads!

Actually, this photo was taken in Northern VA, just that it was taken during the "snowmageden of February 2010. This was taken just west of Fairfax, VA
