What years were they used?

My 1975 K5 has them in brown vinyl. The driver's seat is destroyed, but the passenger side is damn near perfect. I was contemplating having them reupholstered. It would be a lot cheaper to just do one, but I HATE vinyl.

My next question is, we're they available in houndstooth? Or what year was houndstooth available?

Ihave a 1980 parts Jimmy with red and white houndstooth seats, but the driver side seat is broken and I don't like red interiors.

High back started in '78. The low-backs were available pre-'73, donno the specifics, and I know went through '77.

Depending on how particular you are about your definition of "houndstooth", I think it started ca '80. There were some plaid or otherwise not-solid patterns before though.

All of this is in the Brochures -- pick a year, open the Blazer, and look for seat pictures.

My brothers Chalet has houndstooth seats. Or maybe I'm using the wrong term?

Now that I look at those pictures, yeah his seats are more of a plaid than a hounds tooth. That red 1980 interior is spot on (just not as ****ty) for what is in my parts Jimmy. Except my Jimmy has the door panel speakers.

LMC does not appear to have the plaid seat covers. Does anyone know of a source for them?

Martin

Look up highlander inserts for seat covers. Someone makes them but I can't remember the name of the company. Has the plaid center sections. Low back seats were in first gens so I've seen. I saw someone post a company that makes them on 67-72chevytruck.com .
Found this: Truckseats is the guys user name on 67-72.
