A guy I know bought a lifted truck and had the front shaft pull apart going over speed bumps in a parking lot a few days later--it was too short..
His temporary solution so he could still use 4wd until he got a longer drive shaft was to compress the front springs down some by having his friends stand on the front bumper while he rigged a "limit chain" around the front axle tube,to the frame rail on each side,so the truck couldn't rebound high enough to pull the slip yoke off it..it did work!..
LOL...that is EXACTLY what I was going to do initially. I've done it on the trails when I had an issue with a driveshaft. I did it with my front winch cable though. I just ran the cable down and around the axle. Couple blips on the controller and it sucked the front end down tight. After giving it some thought yesterday I just decided to give it a try and sort of take it easy. Luckily it stayed in and didn't pull out. No big whoop if it did, I was just going to put it back in and go again until it popped out...LMAO
