So my low coolant light came on but the readiator is full. The bung on the passenger side of the radiator Has no wire going to it. The light has never come on but I did just do a remove the resistor from the trucks along with replacing some old crusty wires. All wires were put back, so im thinking I may have hooked something back up that the previous owner had disconnected. Where should I be checking for the disconecction? 1984 blazer cucv

As always thanks for the help

In the ones that I have seen, it is almost always in the overflow bottle. I must admit however, that I have never dealt with one on a truck that early.

You should also realize that if the sensor is in the engine, you could have either a bubble that is stuck, giving the same reading. You could also just be dealing with a bad sensor.

if its the standard diesel low coolant sensor, its on the radiator itself, pass side, about 1/2 way down

as to how to disable.... just yank the light bulb. It will never bother you again and there are no loose wires this way

You should be looking for the wire that is missing off of the sensor and just hook it back up...

The wire has never been connected as long as I have owned it and the light has never been on. Im curious as to why it came on now.

One of the wires you repaired must have supplied power to it... or it finally made a ground somewhere.
