My 88 was sitting around for awhile and now I have a pretty slow idle from what I remember. Its a TBI. Any suggestions?

check the egr valve. also unhook the battery for about 10 min. and let the computer reset. then reconnect the battery, crank it up and see how it does. That is real basic and might want to check fuel pressure too at the schrader valve. How long did it set up uncranked? Is the oil in good shape?

Also try running a can of your preferred brand of fuel system cleaner through it - you might have had some crud settle in the injectors.

Clean up on aisle 3!!

How low is low... most TBI trucks idle about 600 or 700 rpm
