i'm a new poster but long-time reader on ck5, and i was wondering if anyone has a lower mileage truck than me?

my 84 k5 blazer has about 36k miles on it, all original. it is also a connecticut truck and the worst body damage it has is a little rust right behind each rear wheelwell. amazing for the amount of salt we have up here

Rub it in why don't ya?

Mine is an 81 with somewhere around 90k original miles, but most of them were in 4wd, and it shows. I don't know for sure how many miles it's got because i replaced the speedo and didn't make the odo match. Oh well, I have about the same rust as you.:p:

184k... Is that low mileage enough? :D

I have a Cali truck that lived it's whole life in Cali though, so no rust except the fender under the battery tray where it looks like a bad battery spent a lot of years. (Yeah there's no battery tray either, lol)

in only 20k miles you'll have 4k on the thing!
:D

you guys may think i'm lucky but i can't do anything with this truck besides use it as a DD. it has a terrible wobble at 65+ most of the time, i can't off road it at all because of the cherry paint, and i don't have money for the lift i want, so i can't fit the 35" BFG AT's i bought second hand.

but it's all good, summer job here i come! this thing is gonna be a mall crawler for a long while.

FIX YOUR STEERING!!! You'll save money. You have the "death wobble" that means parts are severely worn out. Don't want you to ruin that pretty truck.

Keep posting so we can see some pictures. No pictures, it does not exist.

Mine has 3k on the drive train.

there's one of two pictures that i have....a little small but it's what i've got....haha

i forgot, since then i hit a mailbox and the only thing damaged was the grille, i repaced that with a very similar one. also the vertical pieces on the bumper, i don't know what they're called, i replaced those with regular carriage bolts.

and soon to be added, more like when i have time to work, is a decent sound system, with rockford fosgate speakers in the dash, 5 or 6" circles and 6x9's, with a cadence amp driving that, and another cadence amp driving 2 audiobahn 12" subs.

also the side steps are gone

and yeah, my friend is supposed to be looking around for a new steering box in one of his extra trucks that i can get off him cheap.....but i might have to get it from somewhere else

When I bought my '87 3/4ton Suburban 2 years a go it had 58K on it.All orignal and clean. Now has 76K.Drive it all the time.Tows my Jeep nicely.

We have several 60k mile trucks all original, got dads 73 with 30k on it, now it has nearing 250k, we have a 76 3/4 4x4 with 300k on it, all of these trucks are orignal minus bare minimum maintence. The most major thing done to dads was a timing chain at 184k, and still starts up every time, and only 3 sets of points :D

We got my 77 with 86k on the clock, it has 110k now, but rust hasnt been kind to her, but she had alot of hidden rust to begin with.
