Low Oil pressure problem - Solved ???

So I was tearing down the small block...

Pulled it originally due to issues with oil pressure... being a new motor it should have more than 15 pounds of oil pressure...

So tore it down to a short block...

Removed the timing cover and chain/gears and found this...

The IDIOT forgot the front oil gallery plugs... behind the camshaft timing gear....



Oh and I'm not the idiot that put it together... :thefinger:

Yep, exactly as i said. I've seen this a few times in the past.

I was so mad....

But napa had what i wanted, poped them in, hit with a chisel to ensure they dont pop out, installed a new CLEAN oil pump, and screen.

So now it can sit on the stand for a while
