lower steering column bearing

Wondering what you guy's might think the cause would be of wearing lower steering column bearing out fast?

I replaced mine in my 87 K5 say 2 years ago and did XJ shaft. Noticed tonight there is alot of play you can see in the lower steering column bearing. Any thoughts? Did you Crown bearing.

Mine got loose a while back. I proceeded to ignore it, as the steering still felt tight. I will continue ignoring it until it starts affecting steering steadiness.
