So, this is a little bit of a long story but I just gotta tell it.

Somebody calls you and asks you to make LS engine "adapters" to use our comp poly motor mounts on a build.

So, from that perspective we design up a set of "adapters." I'm sure most of you know our comp poly motor mounts. If you don't, here's a pic,

So, we end up with these adapters.

For the intended purpose, they work great. But that's the problem. These are "adapters." Building a truck from scratch as was the thinking originally, no problem. But when you have a guy that has already built his truck and has been wheeling it for a while and now wants to throw an LS in, these don't work quite as well.

When we designed these, we simply built an adapter that was as strong and as simple (cost effective) as possible. So, for the last year or so we've been making these and customizing the hell out of them for everybody. Forward, backward, up an down with engine placement. What we end up with is modifying two pieces to customize and some bolt holes that like to interfere with one another to complicate that. Yeah, we could do slots but I really hate slots.

Time to go back to the beginning and start this whole thing over again from a fresh perspective. No adapters. Half the hardware. More economical to build and what we should have done from the start.(had we been looking at it from the right perspective.)

LS competition poly motor mounts done the right way. Pictured below is the top half only. The new kit will come with the frame side as well as the polys. Same basic kit contents as our comp poly motor mounts except designed specifically for the LS.

Soon to hit the website, got a guy test fitting shortly. These eliminate the adapter plate, and half the hardware. Simple to build and simple for us to mod for you. These will put the engine in place as if it had always been there. For most, the trans/transfer cross member will drop right in to the same holes. Now, if you're changing transmissions at the same time, that may not work out quite the same. We'll keep morphing them as time goes on. For now, you have the option for an LS engine mount that was designed specifically for the purpose of putting the LS into a 1973-1987/91 4x4 blazer, pickup, suburban.

These will be added to the website when I get better photos and will be call to order for a while.
